This last week i tore down an old boat dock and built a new one

I forgot to get a before picture but i remembered to get some pics while building it. Check it out

Drove some 6×6 posts 16ft long with our air hammer and a barge https://pic8.co/sh/JnAI6J.jpg

Then cut off the posts, attached 6×6 gurters, and 2×6 joists on top of that. All connected with hurricane clips and galvanized nails. https://pic8.co/sh/c6p5Yh.jpg

Then we decked it with 2×6 using galvanized deck screws. https://pic8.co/sh/wDc6HF.jpg

This dock is 12ft wide and 30ft long using all pressure treated materiel

Fun stuff

Great work as always, but do you have to stain it or anything?

Yeah ill go back and stain it probably the end of next week. We want to let the wood dry a bit because it is fresh with the pressure treated stuff.

Whats the deal with the pressure treated stuff?

It wont rot being wet all the time like regular wood would

Very nice! I really want to see someone make a dock / pier using Roman concrete.

In salt water, Roman concrete actually gets stronger over time!

You were the only one who would get in the water and help move rocks
