Cordless are great for movement around site. Square cuts and rough mitres and bevels. Ripping kills your battery and you need something corded for that. Ive the a Mil brushless circ saw. Its great. Lots of power for rips but as with all of them it depends on battery size and its charge.
My last site the guys preffered Makita. Maybe because of the lower cost. I find them to have too many interior componets made of plastic. One crew man melted the makita recip saw in less than a week.
Unfortunatley too many tool makers are opting for these weaker plastic componets. My Brand new Mil impactor had issues with the bitchuck in the first couple weeks and needed to be sent away. 👌
