I really enjoy these posts.

Also I know how to do one of the things you did!

Third do you stain the awning too?

We will stain the wood. What do you know how to do?

Put the posts in the ground. I did it when I first moved into my house the deck broke day 1 of owning it and I had to put in 2 posts and lag them to the deck.

My wife on my ass too do this by my backdoor. What about termites coming up the 4x4s?

[–] 2 pts

All the wood is pressure treated and the 4×4s are set in concrete

What is your opinion on the roofing material you used?

Max rib metal sheets. Butyl tape where the sheets over lap. Metal to wood screws. Silicone. Easy to use and works well.

Thing 1: It's like you overbuilt some things but underbuilt others.

Thing 2: that roof will leak. I guess it's not a big deal, since it's not screened or anything. You must live up North.

Thing 3: looks great. get some patio furniture out there and start grilling! Let the games begin!

The poles weren't perfectly square so we adjusted accordingly.

The roof won't leak. I live in Texas.

Thanks
