@AOU is an unthinking ideologue, he cares for enforcing his own ideology, not free speech. Maybe this place will always be an ideological copy of Voat, if it ever starts to drift from that I think he will move to introduce censorship to retain control.
Well, I disagree, I founded the place for free speech, he respects my choices even if he doesn't agree. Its not like we have never had a disagreement. He has always honored my wishes. This will always be a place for free speech regardless of what the users believe I won't allow any opinion to be silenced, short of pro pedophilia stuff. I believe @AOU believes in that cause as well.

In the early days of poal, many came here and tried to use downvotes to silence dissenting opinions, I repeated asked people to stop, I made a call and I believe @AOU didn't agree with me then to make votes public, then I back pedaled and made it so just downvotes are visible. @AOU is dedicated to free speech, he will argue with you when he disagrees but I have never once seen him abuse his power. Isn't that the point of discussion boards such as this to make your case, try and sway people to your way of thinking? I think its also to build relationships and have conversations but on some level its for persuasion as well.
