Even if all the ice melted, coastlines would only rise a very small amount.
Ice on water melting has no effect on sea level. Ice on land melting into the sea is what they're concerned about. Greenland alone (science.howstuffworks.com) would add 20 inches of water to the world's seas.
so, buy up land three houses back from the beach! profit!
Climate change may introduce other factors that complicate the profit part, but perhaps in the short term.
What exactly is small? From memory it was at least 50m worth of sea level rise.
You're right, though it would take thousands of years of sustained warm weather in the Antarctic to have that happen. Still, ~50m isn't much when the continent sits 500m above sea level for the most part.
