Here's a crazy idea: turn the clock speed down. Sure, it runs a little slower, but it's much more reliable, costs less, uses less power and you don't pay a premium for outdated hardware next week.

INSANITY! The next thing you will say is that they should get rid of all of the RGB's that waste more power and also generate heat.... Insanity I tell you!

Is it really needed though? How much extra performance can they squeeze out of it by reducing the temps a little bit?

I think its more about stability than improved performance but I could be wrong.
