It's time to replace a printer here which is a Samsung SCX-3405 wireless scan + b/w laser printer. HP bought Samsung printing a while back and I don't care for HP consumer level products. I hear great things about Brother.

Here's what I'd like to end up with...

Must have: - Integrated print server - wireless networking - b/w laser printing

Nice to have: - ethernet - duplex printing - integrated power supply (no power brick for the printer)

Could have: - scanner - color ( I won't disqualify for color if it's a good fit, but don't want it)

Must not have: - HP logo or HP printer with different branding

Brother. 100% Avoid inkjet like the plague. If the printer costs less than $100, you will spend ungodly sums of money on ink cartridges.

I bought a brother multi function laser printer in 2016 for home use, bought a second cartridge at the time of purchase [because in my prior experiences with cannon, hp, lexmark, etc.. the starting cartridge would contain basically no ink].. 8 years later I'm still using the original cartridge. I only print a few pages a month, but any other manufacturers product, I would have lost count on replacement cartridges after 8 years.
