I'm running into numerous problems now because my PCs are over 10 years old. I'm getting messages that browsers are no longer supported on my operating systems (windows 7 & 8), Visual Studio can no longer be upgraded. Even VS Code is complaining my OS is too old now. Here's the kicker, I can't even find out if my 10 year old hardware will even run Windows 10 or 11 without actually trying to install them.
OK, if I buy a new PC, should I wait for windows 12? I'll probably just go to Linux.
We've been a Linux-only house for 15 years. No regrets.
Do it - it's great!
I am still building out a new PC, I have a Dell XPS from 10 years ago and it won't "run" Windows 11 but for some odd reason, M$ doesn't want to fix the TPM hack to allow it to install on Windows 10 supported hardware.
Waterfox, a FF fork, is still supported on Win7 for now.
