Not sure about first gen stuff. Most recent logitech product I bought was a headset. The damn thing would make annoying creaking sounds whenever I turned my head. Parts of the ear pieces broke several times from normal use (not drops or anything like that to cause damage). The headset eventually fell apart beyond repair after about a year or two. I've had mice over the years, they all sucked. Never tried any logitech keyboards. I'm currently running a G Skill keyboard which has served me well for years at this point with no issues ever, so no need to replace it yet.
I replaced the G15 with a Corsair K70 after Logitech stopped making the G15, their replacement (G19 I think) was no where near as good, and just as expensive. They have always made questionable headsets.
There was a time when Logitech held the top spot for 5.1 PC speaker systems. This century I ran original Z5300s (not the shitty 5300e replacement) until yesterday when Santa gave me new Steelseries Arena 9s. The satellites didnt give up the ghost and start cracking until early this year.
Point being, they used to make far better equipment. As well as the wally world tier shit. The wally world tier shit, has always been garbage. The better equipment used to last long and be reliable.
I tried the new 502x mouse... fucking thing broke in a week... 150$ mouse, and its built like shit. I need a new mouse next. No idea what I am going to do there. I've been using a 502 mouse for so long...
Oh I forgot about speakers. I have had two sets of those that have served me well. I got one set for dirt cheap when radio shack was going out of business. I almost exclusively use headsets now though for audio.
