I generally go with Crucial or Samsung for SSD/NVME drives. I've had good dealing with Kingston and SanDisk, but given the choice, I'd still go with Crucial or Samsung.
Here's what Crucial has for SSD/NVME options for the Lenovo T490:

IGNORE THIS SINCE CRUCIAL VERIFIED IT - M.2 slots have different lengths available. Try to determine how long your M.2 slot is by checking where the screw mounting point is in relation to the connector and order the proper length for your laptop. Also, please verify that the M.2 slot supports storage as M.2 can also be for other applications besides drives. Check the Lenovo specs for the T490 to verify the length and storage support options.
I went with the Crucial one that was recommended for the t490. I grabbed the 1 terabyte. The 2 terabyte drive would have taken another two weeks to get here and I'm actually leaving my father's house so that wouldn't have worked. Plus what the hell am I storing on my computer that actually matters? Nothing other than crappy photos and terrible videos that'll probably put up on joogle drive anyway.
Seconded on Samsung
