that feels like a tech article written by the nontechnical. I like the article but I'm suspicious of everything, it's in my nature.
He brings up good points in the backend of the article. I used to keep up with the latest in PC parts, not so much anymore. Then for Christmas I built a new PC for my youngest son and ran into this convoluted mess of products. Didn't take much to research the best parts for my build, but it was unnecessarily confusing.
honestly sites like pc part picker do most that work. Building a computer is just a lego project suited to teenagers of all kinds.
You have to understand for yourself if spending an extra "x" amount of money is worth it. Pcpartpicker can't do that for you. It is a great resource tho.
