Netgear docsis 3 router completely crashes and has to go through reboot every time I go online. Laptop has win 11 "hacked" to 11 pro and is wifi 6. This doesn't happened with my old device. I recently updated the router firmware thinking maybe that would solve the problem but it didn't. I don't port forward or anything like that.

Try to disable IPv6 on your laptop and modem for the local network.

I was gonna say they were probably having homosexual thoughts, but this solution sounds more logical.

I thought about that...will give it a shot, thanks

Wifi 6 can knock out all legacy wifi. Can you limit your wifi 6 features to force only legacy mode?

I don't know, I just got the device and am still in the process of gutting unwanted services and minimizing telemetries and these forced f*ng updates, so I haven't delved into wifi settings enough to know what I can do.

Yeah, I would look at the wifi card driver settings. See if you can force Wifi legacy, or turn off "Wifi6".
