Go to a pawn shop.
There are companies that refurbish used computers to look like new, and sell them complete with a warranty. I had a good experience with one such company called Revive IT. Bought a laptop at a low price, the display went out eight months later, --they emailed me a free shipping label and I had it back in three days, repaired and working again. They even included a new, spare SSD for me, because I had installed Linux on it and they couldn't verify the OS.

That is basically my price range. Thank you for the link.
I'll sell you my PS3 for $100.
I'll sell you my PS3 for $100.
Somehow I feel like I would regret that.
It still works, it even has a game on the hard drive.
What do you need to do on it? Gaming? Work?
Work. My wife sells stuff on ebay. Also, we watch a lot of streaming videos.
$384 entry level gaming pc, will play most games at decent settings, not sure what you will be using it for, so whatever, literally the cheapest parts without buying a gpu, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KjVkwc this will also play any streaming services you want, you can plug it into any tv as well, the down side is you will have to get a boot kit from amd to upgrade the bios on the motherboard, but really cheapest "decent" pc
for work/email stuff, look for a cheap lenovo thinkpad anywhere, amazon has some crappy ones with chrome OS, which you can change to a linux distro easily enough, if you need more space you can throw in a micro SD card usually in them or an external HD
Thank you very much. I always associate gaming computers with "way to expensive for me". I will check out your advice.
What does she sell?
Mostly unique items. Some clothing, but mostly hard goods. Like she just sold a rug for $200.
Build it yourself. You'll be able to optimize for your unique constraints and requirements.
