Could have done it with as well. Also, what are you using for automation? SSH commands from a central server, or are there software packages to make it easier?

I'm using scripted SSH-transmitted commands from another Pi, which is also hosting a web server. Each of the display Pis is set to load a page from a static location from that web server, which then frames or forwards the content I want them to show. To switch what they display I change the page on the web server and then tell the pi to refresh the display.
The Pis all have PoE hats and are connected to remotely manageable switches, so I can depower them if when they crash. There are a total of ten displays around the office.
