I have several IP cameras that send video to a dedicated router and would like to capture that video to a small server directly wired to it.

Does anyone know of a cheap, small form factor server box that I can buy off the shelf from Amazon? Preferably one with an ethernet connection -- doesn't have to have wireless capability.

i use a baby canyon nuc with a backup battery/power supply on it, not UPS its just a laptop backup charger that i leave plugged in to the power so if the power goes off the nuc stays running off the battery in the charger and my cameras are old mobile phones with their own battery, all connected via wifi to the nuc, then the nuc.

there is literally no shutting off my cameras, youd have to shut everything down and hope that i dont notice for like 6 hours that my fridge isnt running, and its constantly recording and backing up to the net.

old mobile phones are fucking awesome for this btw use standard ip webcam app and er what is it i use on the nuc.... shit cant remember the name of the client but the whole lot is completely accessible both locally and remotely.

Cool setup. So all the sail foams are in airplane mode? Just wifi and video?
