hi folks. oldfag here. so i want to be able to block internet from certain pc's on my home network. i need to be able to shut it on/off or even put on schedule. i have looked into bridging a router with tomato or ddwrt after my isp router. or maybe pfsense or sophos. haven't been able to decide what to use partially cuz i don't understand all the terminology and partly cuz i can't sit down long enough to absorb the info enough. anyways, any options or recommendations, paid or not would be appreciated.

while that is an option, the scheduling i need is during the time the internet is needed for school. thanks for the idea.

There are tools for that, but it will take some research. Type what you're looking for in search and dig past page 1. Here's what I found for "parent internet control":
