hi folks. oldfag here. so i want to be able to block internet from certain pc's on my home network. i need to be able to shut it on/off or even put on schedule. i have looked into bridging a router with tomato or ddwrt after my isp router. or maybe pfsense or sophos. haven't been able to decide what to use partially cuz i don't understand all the terminology and partly cuz i can't sit down long enough to absorb the info enough. anyways, any options or recommendations, paid or not would be appreciated.

You can configure access by individual device MAC address

most router software/firmware now allows you to do just this and allow only certain times for access

look into 192.168.1.1 and log in to see if you have it

my isp router doesn't allow shutting off select sites. apologies, didn't make that clear that kids need net for school.

MAC addresses are unique to each computer or phone on the network.

yes, but i need to shut off the internet except their school related sites, not just one device. i don't have that option. thanks for the reply.
