I’m getting the pieces together for a pc build for my son’s Christmas present this will be my first attempt and am going for a quality gaming rig but am stuck on the operating system do I just spend the money for Windows or is there a free os easy enough for a 10 year old to run?

Steam runs on pretty much any linux distro.

Get your son familiar with linux while he is young, it might turn into a valuable career skill when he is older.

Steam runs fine, but he'll only have access to tranny sims and other unity based shit. There's no incentive to bring anything to linux except virtue.

Linux isn't something that has to be used in a career, but it's literally like learning a second language. It's always easy to fall back on.
