In a "true communist society", communist as in USSR, you aren't allowed to own a business, any business whatsoever, not even a grocery store. Every single business is state owned, no exception.
Now in that regard, china is much closer to nazi germany than the USSR. In china you're allowed to own and operate a business, any business as long as it doesn't go against the party line essentially, as long as it's not deemed subversive and/or antagonist to the nation's best interests/objectives, as defined by the gvt. The gvt can confiscate any business it wants, whenever it wants, just like in nazi germany.
Also, chinese are covert racists, or rather, very ethnocentric but at the same time there's no openly stated racial position in their ideological framework, it's still very communist leaning in that regard. Their flag also, is still very communist and at the same time, they have little to no tolerance for "marxist students", that's the irony...
The reality, is that you can't advocate for communism of old in china, workers rights and shit... Because guess who's in the hot seat now? Well, the ruling class of course, as usual...
