This would mean punishing, not only the working taxpayers who would foot the bill, but all those hard-working, honest individuals who sacrificed the quality of their lives to save money to pay off their student loans. It would be an unthinkable betrayal of their honesty and integrity. Conversely, it would reward all those who refused to save their money, or work hard, or deny themselves luxuries. It would reward the worst element in our society, and punish the best element.

Student loans are a racket and a fraud. Don’t make the taxpayers “foot the bill,” just tell Navient to shut their doors permanently.
