Equitable means your share of equality is smaller. To reach equality you will not be treated equally.

Communism, the ideology that is responsible for some of the most hideous atrocities and sins the world has ever seen. Compared to other ideologies, communism is unique when it comes to the ways it seeks to accomplish it's goals(it uses dialectics to achieve its goals.
