A heartfelt reminder that daily we must strive to live up to the ideal that our dogs have of us. It is the absolute least that we can do to repay them for a lifetime of love and selfless devotion.

cats are way more "detached", they welcome you for the food and that can be an automatic feeder ....
I don't think dogs get depressed. They get anxious and agitated when their routine is disturbed. They react to human energy levels that are high or low. I think depression is an unfortunate side effect of consciousness.
Being depressed is for faggots. Don't be depressed, be angry.
People get depressed when they see that their anger isn't going to change anything in a rigged system.
My dog plays it up really intensely when we leave. Out of curiosity I setup a camera to see what he does. Yes he lays back down but gets up roughly hourly to cry like a lost puppy.
Maybe not "depression" but certainly the feeling of separation from his pack is painful to him.
