After many times of cleaning dog vomit, shit, dog food, chewed up my stuff, mud, garbage, piss etc., copmaring that to my first kid and the kid is easier in some regards.

It's easier to travel with children than pets. It's much simpler for my wife and me to arrange a trip with other families with kids than it is to arrange a trip with people who have "fur babies." The precious dogs and cats can't be left alone for more than a few hours it seems and can't stay in most hotels or travel long distances. Seems like a major headache to me.
