3 of my best friends from childhood were homeschooled. Sure, their parents were teachers, but they were teachers at an "alternative school": one for criminal children, in Grove City, PA. OK, so they had a 4th child and she was a THOT, but she wasn't my friend. The other 3, 2 boys and a girl, were. Anyway, even though the 1 boy did a lot of LSD and pot and the other was basically his brother's little self they turned out better than most highschoolers. . Both were successful transient contractors (they make a lot) and the daughter was a chemist pharmacist. Also, their family built their house themselves. It was built into a hill, which is geothermal, and had a huge wall of picture glass, with a mud room in front of the same. The lower area was an open plan and heated by wood and coal. The sleeping areas upstairs were heated by the residual heat of the daytime living area.
