The shooting happened in the 1100 block of North Columbine Street, which is just north of Congress Park and close to the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Denver Police Department reported just before 10 a.m. Police at the time did not say how badly either person was injured but in an update just before 2 p.m. said a man had died.
