>A man suspected of an attempted carjacking near Cheesman Park died after police arrested him, the Denver Police Department said Thursday.
Officers responded to 911 calls about a fight in the 2100 block of East Colfax Avenue at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday, including one caller who told dispatchers a man wearing underwear got into their car and tried to carjack them.
Someone in the car started fighting with the man to try to get him out of the car, hitting him on the head and upper body before pulling him out of the vehicle. More people called 911 after the man walked away, entered a business and caused a “disturbance,” police officials said.
