According to a news release from the City of Longmont, officers responded to the 500 block of 15th Avenue, near Main Street, on a report of a shooting at around 1:20 p.m. The release said when the officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Officers contacted a man who is believed to be the shooter, according to the release, and arrested him. Police identified the suspect as Rickey Spaur, 75.
