Family friend died from cancer of the everything back in '85ish after having completed extensive field studies of Rocky Flats for hydrological reports - back when they were attempting to assess how problematic the site really was. Spoiler alert: The answer was "Very".

He loved what he did. You ever drive past it on CO-93? As a kid I remember looking at the flat rock-strewn plain in the vicinity and thinking to myself that whoever named it had zero imagination. So appropriate, yet dull.
