>The driver of a vehicle that lost control and rolled into oncoming traffic resulting in a crash that killed five people was in a stolen car, according to an update from the Colorado State Patrol.
Two adults and three children were killed in the crash on Highway 83 south of Franktown in Douglas County Monday afternoon. A 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were taken by helicopter to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Troopers said the crash happened just after 4:30 p.m. on Highway 83 near the intersection with Russellville Road. According to CSP, a 31-year-old Denver man was driving a stolen Toyota Matrix southbound when he lost control and went off the right shoulder. He swerved back into to the roadway and rolled into the northbound lane, where he hit a Fusion head-on.
