Yeah... Well, those spaces are empty because the "public transit" system is a fucking joke with massive amounts of crime, murder, drug use, etc.. Cars are broken into all of the time. It takes 3 hours to use RTD to get somewhere that takes 40 minutes in bad traffic in your own car... Etc... etc...

Also, Obvious comments about "15 minute cities, you will own nothing, etc" are obvious.

From the post:

>RTD has over 80 Park-n-Rides, but lots have empty spaces. That’s why the agency is looking converting some of the empty spaces into affordable housing right next to public transit. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, ridership at Park-n-Rides has dropped significantly. Now a $400,000 federal grant is funding a study of eight sites. RTD is looking at how much parking is actually needed and if parts of these lots could become housing, which is what RTD calls a win-win.

It should. Its yet another... Retarded government "letter agency". "Regional Transportation District".

Also, the same people they would build that housing for are the same people that would complain that they have to live near the "train tracks" and its "too loud" and would try to force the trains to slow down or not use their horns... Its like the asshole that moves in right next to an airport then starts complaining that airplanes use the airport. (Yes, that happens in CO to).

ha...here, the port authority bought all of the land around the airport and tore down entire developments. No one to complain.

But I lived next to a crazy cat karen that used to complain about the trains. You can hear them...on a cold night...barely. The tracks are about a mile away.

For most of my young life I lived a few blocks away from train tracks. We didn't complain about it. We got used to it and would use earplugs when sleeping if needed.

I did as well. It doesn't bother me. That low rumble is kind of comforting in some ways.
