Well, if you can't prove it was used in or from a crime and it was their money give it back. I am not ok with the "civil asset forfeiture" shit. You can't just steal my stuff because you THINK there was a crime involved.

From the post:

>Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies made a surprising discovery of more than $100,000 in a vehicle during a traffic stop earlier this week that led to a federal investigation. The deputies were conducting traffic enforcement on Interstate 25 near Greenland on Tuesday when they saw a vehicle speeding southbound, according to a Facebook post. After stopping the vehicle, the deputies noticed the driver “behaving erratically and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.”

made a surprising discovery

After benefiting from illegal surveillance. NSA to DEA to that "lucky" local cop, or the one with a "nose for drugs." Just fucking admit it it is so tiresome. The stop was probably pretextual.

Next time you make a big road trip exchange some text messages about all of the money you will be carrying in the car and see if you get stopped and searched. As an experiment, at least until they take the car apart.
