The EF-1 tornado was approximately two miles north-northeast of Divide on the northwest side of Pikes Peak.
The tornado struck at 12:41 p.m. Tuesday with estimated maximum winds of 106 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.
9NEWS Weather Impact Team meteorologist Chris Bianchi said the high-altitude location, situated west of Colorado Springs near Woodland Park, represents a unique tornado-prone area in the mountains.
