The sheriff’s office said it followed up on leads after the theft of some hunting equipment, and intelligence gathered during the investigation led to the dismantling of a large-scale drug distribution operation, as well as an illegal marijuana cultivation and processing operation. The Saguache County Sheriff’s Office received and executed a search warrant, and with the help of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Alamosa Police Department and the Conejos County Sheriff’s Office.
