The fire sparked just before 5 p.m. Saturday on public land off of I-70 in Frisco, according to a news release from city officials. It burned about 6.3 acres outside of a Whole Foods on Meadow Drive before it was contained, mostly on the Meadow Creek conservation easement, officials said in the release. The nearly 11-acre easement was designated in 2020 and includes wetlands, river banks and floodplains.
