>A Larimer County deputy who shot and wounded a 67-year-old last month in a park will not be charged because the district attorney concluded that his "quick actions" likely saved the life of a fellow deputy who was shot in his arm. The shooting happened around 2 p.m. March 10 in Edora Park in the 1400 block of East Stuart Street in Fort Collins. According to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, two deputies were attempting to stop a man riding an "off-road motorcycle" for traffic violations. The decision letter from the district attorney's office indicates the man was on a "mini-bike" that was illegal to ride on the street and could potentially create a hazard for other drivers.
