The sheriff’s office said two attempted burglaries occurred within a few blocks of each other on Jan. 15 at 1:53 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. The first alleged burglary attempt happened in the 7000 block of S. Elizabeth St. Security camera footage from one home shows the woman walking up a driveway and looking over the backyard fence before she knocked on the door. According to a release from the Arapahoe sheriff, the woman looked through a front window, knocked louder and fiddled with the door before the homeowner’s dog started barking and she left. A neighbor reported seeing her get into a car with an unknown driver.
