From the post:

>The Boulder Police Department reported that power was out in the city from Baseline Road to Table Mesa Road, to the Hill and “as far east as Morehead.” The agency said that Xcel Energy was “working on it” but asked members of the public to treat all intersections and non-working traffic signals as four-way stops. Boulder is under a high wind warning until 5 a.m. Monday. West winds were expected to remain at about 30 to 45 mph throughout the night, with gusts of up to 80 mph forecasted. Localized gusts of up to 85 mph are also forecasted for wind-prone areas above the timberline.

It didn't get as much press as LA but there was a massive fire in the Boulder/Superior/Louisville area a few years ago. I think it burned like 10k homes down.

The power company now shut's the lines down anytime there are bad winds. It was forecasted for gusts from 60-90 mph starting on Sunday going through Monday later afternoon.
