They’re in a real bind, it’s illegal, federally, to kill wolves. So essentially the front range voters just said fuck you to the ranchers. CPW will only reimburse for lost livestock if the ranchers have employed all their stupid non-lethal hazing practices. All which are expensive, time consuming and don’t really deter the wolves. They’re hungry, why would some plastic strips on a fence deter them from their dinner. And who is going to be able to hire a ranger to patrol their vast pastures 24/7?
