Everything is fine until you get south of Walsenburg or East towards 70 in the flats.
The flats are just an issue with drifting snow and the inability to keep up as it covers the highway making it impossible to navigate..
Down by the NM border there is 3-4' of snow that dropped in 48hrs. I spent the entire day plowing and it just kept building up. It's still going out there..
There is no need for the guard here imo. The main issue is most roads aren't even able to be plowed. We're moving the shit with heavy equipment. I'd assume the assistance is related to snow removal.
There isn't a lot of places for that much snow to go after a while. Smaller streets have to have it removed with dump trucks and loaders because there isn't really anywhere else to stack it anymore.
Yeah, I get that depending on the area. I'm just from somewhere that snow is just a fact of life and you deal with it. I feel like so many commiefornians have moved to CO that they see more than 2" of snow and its the end of the world.

The last snow I can remember like this for our area was in 2008. Sometimes all you can do is say fuck it and call it a day or three. Im not coming off this mountain for a minute and that's fine by me.
