The construction worker was taken to a local hospital by personal vehicle after the collapse, but the extent of their injuries was unknown. The collapse was in the area of 30th Avenue and Vallejo Street. According to the department, a stairway and exterior balcony collapsed on a building where the upper floors were under construction.
