$12K worth of bikes
Does anyone else see the problem here?
People in CO are crazy about their bikes. I worked with a guy that bought a $3k mountain bike he used like 4 times and had to sell because of a unrelated back injury.
Wow. I can see spending a bit of cash on a bike you use all the time, that's just a sinful amount of money.
My first new car in 2007 didn't cost much more than 12k.
I guy I played hockey with once turned up to a game on a road bike that cost $20k (AUD). That would have been over a decade ago.
I can't imagine spending that much on just a bike unless it's your profession or something.
He worked at a high end bike shop. I don't think it was his personal bike, more like a demo model. Other than professional cyclists, I think the main market for them is rich wankers who like to ride in the middle of the road on Sunday mornings and hold up traffic.
Hold the fuck up. You play hockey in Australia?
I played field hockey. There is a small amount of Ice Hockey played here too, but it is very limited.
Were there one-hundred-and-twenty one-hundred dollar bikes?
Was there a smaller number of absurdly tricked out like the Mods' scooters in Quadrophenia?
Were they prototype cyber-bikes from Tesla?
