It is interesting to think that probably the majority of the people living in the area don't know that there are multiple underground coal mine fires that have been burning for decades.
Also, I assume that they don't take "emissions" from these fires into account when they claim that "cars" are the problem in the metro area for pollution. At least power plants have scrubbing systems designed to keep most of the particulate from getting out of the plant.
