Is the crux of the Heemeyer story that the city took the value of his shop property by rezoning the adjacent property so that the concrete company did not need to pay what Heemeyer was asking for his land? Heemeyer's beef was that his shop was worth more money so long as the adjacent property was not zoned in the same way as the shop?
This doesn't seem like enough, but then again he may have had the concrete folks on the hook for six to seven figures based on zoning when the city decided that Heemeyer did not deserve to be wealthy even though he was positioned in the right time and place with his assets. There seems to be a growing noticing of this in the USA.
Beginning in early June, there will be increased police presence in the town. The Granby Police Department is also asking residents to report any suspicious activity.
I seriously doubt anyone will do a Killdozer 2. It is sad Heemeyer didn't take the people who fucked him over with him.
I've heard that Heemeyer (killdozer) was a prick who was always fucking with his neighbors and abusing the land by dumping toxic material and just being an asshole to the community at large.

I heard the same thing but the mayor admitted (for the most part) the city was trying to run him out of business.
