From the post:

>Inspectors don't yet know the extent of damage to a bridge on U.S. Highway 50, when repairs might begin or how long local residents will have to wait to regain use of this critical route between Gunnison and Montrose, transportation officials said on Friday morning. The Colorado Department of Transportation immediately shut down the bridge over Blue Mesa Reservoir on Thursday after a routine inspection found a crack in the bridge's steel girders. CDOT closed U.S. 50 between mile posts 131 and 148. Only local traffic is allowed through the closure point to reach residences, and no one is allowed to cross the bridge.

They could come up with a workaround for it. They could do a pontoon bridge into the water of the reservoir and bring it up on the other side. Just close the rec areas out there and route traffic through the parking lot. Fuck Canada has washouts and forest fires and all sorts of other shit on their roads up north and they got those roads back up and running in like 2 days. No not here. We got to drag it out for five fucking years.

Well, its a project that someone will say takes 6 months and cost $2 million. Because of all of the corruption in Blue areas it will somehow turn into 20 years and $250 million while still somehow running over.

There has been a interstate "improvement" project by Loveland CO that has been going on for at least 20+ years at this point. God only knows how fucked that budget is and where it has been going....

Colorado is so beautiful but it's just so fucked up too. How do you guys even go skiing? I mean there's so many people there now. Is it even fun? I imagine you're just waiting in lines all the time.

It has gotten to the point that doing even local trails are not worth it most of the time.

Fuck all of the morons from Cali and to a lesser degree Texas that moved here (the liberal ones did...).

Like all beautiful and amazing places in the US the strange liberal progressive blue idiots somehow always manage to take it over one way or another.

If you find a amazing small country town that has amazing views and lots of land. BUY EVERY SCRAP YOU CAN and never sell. Otherwise it will happen there too.

Just plate and weld it like china or india would.

Ya but where's the fleecing in that, no money to be made. We need to justify jobs so everyone gets a shot at the clown show. Some $150 an hour welder would make everyone look retarded. So here we are.

Why not tie a rope to it and swing across? Now that's ingenuity.
