I was raised to not look to the state for anything. My Dad and his buddies were all JBS. The stuff they warned me about back in the day is all coming to pass.

Never trust anyone to do anything for you.

All of these people that put trust in the state/companies for their retirement seem crazy to me. Why would you expect them to not screw you if it helps them somehow?
