Part of the area around Sloan's lake used to be nice.. Its a polished turd now though. It looks somewhat nice in the redeveloped areas but that is only skin deep. Lots of crime, shootings, etc. Just like the rest of the main Denver Metro.

" Police are investigating a series of drive-by shootings over the past month that has left bullet holes in the sides of homes and cars in a Denver neighborhood.
The shootings have all happened within the past month near West 27th Avenue and Hazel Court, northeast of Sloan's Lake. Homes have been hit on both sides of the street. No injuries have been reported, but neighbors said they feel it's only a matter of time.
“It’s just crazy, and it’s bad," said Joey Pacheco. “I think it’s the same person.”
Pacheco said the latest incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Monday. Surveillance video shows a driver speeding away after multiple shots were fired."
