I understand the ideas about wolf reintroduction but I also understand why the Ranchers would be pissed off. Also, Voters rejected the proposal in their area and the were ignored. So.. Yeah, Fuck the state government for ignoring them and going directly against their wished that they VOTED on.

From the post: "One month ago, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) reintroduced wolves in Colorado. CPW released the first wolves into Grand County, and since then ranchers tell us they have received almost no communication about the apex predators.

“Really haven’t heard much from CPW, mostly it’s just been locals and local sightings," said Tim Ritschard, a fifth-generation rancher in Grand County.

Ranchers aren't known for being vocal, but when it comes to wolves they're not going to be silent."

Shawn Scholl is a fourth-generation rancher. About 60% of Grand County voters rejected the ballot proposal to reintroduce wolves. Scholl doesn't understand why the state chose their area; He understands hard work.

Trackers or embedded chips? Shoot, shovel and shut up, but leave your tracking device (cell phone) at home.

They probably have chips as well as the collar tracker. I think they only usually put the collar's on a couple members of the pack though.

Either way, Mr Rancher shouldn't be logged in the vicinity of a wolf that goes missing.

I'm certain they have tracking devices. Collars or chipped, mabye? But, if the townsfolk were to 'relocate' the wolves. They wouldn't have to worry about them anymore. Just make sure to do something about the tracking devices.

With the other programs like this in the US at least a few of the animals have had trackers on them so they could see how the moved around the area. Also, every single place they have reintroduced wolves they have ended up killing a bunch of livestock.

At least some of the ones that Colorado was able to source were known to do this and were considered "problem wolves" from the state they came from but the "eco" people in Colorado were so desperate to get some to introduce that they didn't care.
