Then again, who would blame you for thinking its not a real 9mm? There are tons of shootings in Aurora from just this year alone with yuths using real guns robbing people or just gang-land style random shootings.

From the post: "Two Colorado police officers involved in the shooting death of 14-year-old Jor’Dell Richardson earlier this year will not face criminal charges, the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday.
Jor’Dell was shot and killed on 1 June in Aurora following a convenience store robbery when the responding officers James Snapp and Roch Gruszeczka believed he was armed with a 9mm pistol.
It was determined that the teen was instead carrying a pellet-gun replica of a pistol and his death sparked protests in the city."

No one had to put him up to it. He was 14, with a group of other yuth criminal nogs. He probably did it to be the "big man" in the group.
