Colorado has been talking to all neighboring states to get wolves for the reintroduction project. Guess they finally found a state willing to help.
People's opinions are all over the place for this and a lot of land owners are pissed off.. There has been really great success in some states where the project has resulted in a change of the actual course of rivers due to re-introducing a large predator to help control Dear/Elk and other big game populations.
I really don't have an opinion one way or the other.

From the post:
"Oregon has become the first state to officially agree to supply Colorado with gray wolves for its ballot-mandated reintroduction.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife announced Friday a one-year agreement with Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife for up to 10 gray wolves, which will be captured and translocated between December 2023 and March 2024. Monday, the Nez Perce Tribe in Idaho told the Coloradoan it also will provide wolves to Colorado, possibly as soon as December, though no formal agreement has been reached."
