Not only is sitting traffic horrid and bad for everyone but it costs a lot of money even if you don't factor in what your "hourly wage" lost is. No fucking wonder that no one wants to commute anymore. I worked out the cost of a commute a couple of years ago that sucked and if you consider your hourly cost, fuel and wear and tear on your car it came out to ~10k/yr.
